Paul Henreid on Old-Time Radio

I can think of no better way to spend a cold winter’s day than to listen to Paul Henreid on the radio. One of the greatest voices in cinema, Henreid could recite the alphabet and make me swoon. I hope you enjoy the few old-time radio shows I’ve included below, which I plan to listen to while I work today in remembrance of this great talent.

Paul Henreid (10 January 1908 – 29 March 1992)

The Screen Guild Players’ present “Casablanca” with Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman and Paul Henreid reprising their screen roles:

Lux Radio Theatre brings you “Mr. Skeffington” starring Bette Davis and Paul Henreid:

“The Angel of Death” a Suspense play from 1946:

Also from Suspense in 1946, “No More Alice”

1944 NBC broadcast of the Ben Hecht & Kurt Weill Holocaust “dramatic pageant” “We Will Never Die.” Live from the Hollywood Bowl this includes many stars including Paul Henreid.

  1. I haven’t listened to them all (yet), but I did listen to Casablanca while working on a project I’ve been putting off. It made the project less painful – and it was the perfect antidote to this frigid January day. Thanks!
