Friday Foto Follies: The Library

This week’s Follies offer a humble tribute to libraries to commemorate National Library Week (April 10-16).

  1. It would definitely be heaven to live in one of those places. I’ve always wanted to own Rex Harrison’s library in My Fair Lady. These days, I’d be adding an iPad and a charger to heaven. Not nearly as elegant, but who would have thought that one day I’d be carrying my library around with me wherever I go.

    1. I agree. I have a few of those contraptions and am consistently in awe of their power and convenience. The downside is a tablet will never smell as tantalizing as a book or feel as warm and welcoming.

      1. I feel that way about hard copies, new and even musty second hand. I’m never giving up the hard copy, Aurora just glad I’m of an age that can appreciate and make use of the new and the old. 🙂

    2. I would of put a photo of the library scene where Clark Gable kisses Carol Lombard in ” Hold Your Man” 1931
