It would definitely be heaven to live in one of those places. I’ve always wanted to own Rex Harrison’s library in My Fair Lady. These days, I’d be adding an iPad and a charger to heaven. Not nearly as elegant, but who would have thought that one day I’d be carrying my library around with me wherever I go.
I agree. I have a few of those contraptions and am consistently in awe of their power and convenience. The downside is a tablet will never smell as tantalizing as a book or feel as warm and welcoming.
I feel that way about hard copies, new and even musty second hand. I’m never giving up the hard copy, Aurora just glad I’m of an age that can appreciate and make use of the new and the old. 🙂
I would of put a photo of the library scene where Clark Gable kisses Carol Lombard in ” Hold Your Man” 1931
And can I add – and I speak from experience – there’s less dusting involved with an iPad. 🙂
The library is a threatening place in “Night of the Demon”, but I won’t think about that now. I’ll go to the one in River City.
Haha! Did this rather quickly and so many left out.
Only Brando can look that sexy in a library (and it’s his home library too – gotta love a man with a library like that 😀 ).
