Christmas Classics on Old-time Radio

Christmas is twenty days away, which makes it a great time to start celebrating the holiday season in earnest on Once Upon a Screen.  To kick off the celebrations here are two old-time radio show broadcasts of beloved Christmas classics:

First from the “Lux Presents Hollywood” series sponsored by Lux, which guarantees “YOU too can have the kind of skin men can’t resist!”  That’s the beauty of Lux.

And now Lux Presents Hollywood:

From 1948 a Screen Guild Theater special presentation of “The Bishop’s Wife” (May 11, 1953) – starring Cary Grant, Loretta Young and David Niven.

For the best entertainment available, put a radio on your wish list this Christmas.

    1. I need to thank you for bringing this to my attention. It seems the channel that had all the Lux Shows available has closed. I’m bummed about it and apologize. I was able to update two of these and will search for the third.
